According to KUBRA’s 2025 Digital Wallets Research for Utilities, 42% of consumers use a digital wallet to pay a bill, up from 37% in 2022. Utility bills are now the most commonly paid type using a digital wallet, with usage more than doubling since 2022. Yet, awareness remains low, with over half of customers unaware of whether their utility accepts digital wallets.
